Vanessa Wraight, CYC

My name is Vanessa Wraight, I grew up in the community of Peterborough. I have been practicing child and youth work for over 6 years in a variety of different settings. I have worked in many different group homes, and currently also work at Kinark Child and Family Services as a child and youth worker who facilitates in the Stop Now and Plan program, Unified Protocol program and other family based programs.   I have been facilitating groups for many years, as well as getting the chance to do individual sessions with children who have difficulties regulating their emotions or have anxiety. 

I also do volunteer work in town with a local special needs hockey and baseball team. 

I focus on using a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy model enhanced with play and narrative therapy.
